Robust Multistage Distribution Network Expansion Planning Considering RES Using Taguchi's Orthogonal Array Testing

چکیده :
Distribution network expansion planning is one of the most important challenges of distribution companies. Nowadays due to increasing the penetration level of renewable energy resources (RESs) including wind turbines, solar panels and electric vehicles, the uncertainties of power system is drastically increased. Thus it is necessary to develop novel method to cope with these uncertainties. Several methods have been developed to tackle with uncertainties such as probability distribution functions, stochastic methods and robust optimization. In this paper, a new method based on the robust optimization using Taguchi’s orthogonal array test is utilized to take into account the uncertainties of loads and wind turbines. The simulations are carried out on the IEEE 33 bus distribution system. The results of simulation show the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.
