چکیده :
ABSTRACT As part of an academic and industry collaboration, this study evaluates potential advantages of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the electricity distribution industry. UAV inspections have been compared with traditional inspection methods in terms of inspection efficiency and network interruptions. Also, this paper investigates how using UAVs affects grid reliability indexes such as the number and duration of interruptions. This approach is compared with the existing traditional methods for inspecting distribution power lines at Mashhad Electric Energy Distribution Company (MEEDC) suburban areas. Using UAVs caused significant improvements in reliability parameters.
